12 Days of {handmade} Christmas- Crafting with Mom

Wednesdays are super busy for us, so I decided to go pretty easy and feature an Etsy shop that makes some very cute handmade items!
Delightfulhands is run by a mother and daughter who enjoy crafting together. Elissa ( the daughter) was so very kind and agreed to a blog feature. Thanks so much, Elissa!

Simple Delights: When did you begin crafting?

Elissa: I've been crafting for as long as I can remember, it probably all started around age four or five for me. When I was little I loved to make jewelry from plastic beads and string. I also loved to sit along side my mom and make cards. My mom has been crafting for about fifteen years now.

Simple Delights: How long have you been selling on Etsy?

Elissa: I started in earnest in the fall of 2007.

Simple Delights: What is your favorite thing to make?

Elissa: I go through "phases" of what I'm really into. Sometimes it's paper crafting, other time it's crocheting, or painting, etc. Most recently I've been quite into hand embroidery. My favorite thing to make for my Etsy shop, would probably be pincushions. They're so much fun, and there is never a need to make any two exactly alike. Even if you use the same fabric for two, you can use different buttons to finish them off, and you have two completely different pincushions!

Simple Delights:
What are some things you enjoy crafting with your mom?

Elissa: We love to paper craft together, and we also enjoy scrap booking together.

Elissa and her mom both have blogs which I highly recommend you check out. I always love looking at Elissa blog, which is always full of encouraging, uplifting words, pretty pictures, and delightful homemaker posts.
